Horton stays busy in National 100 weekend at East Alabama Motor Speedway
On Friday afternoon, Austin Horton visited East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for the 49th-running of the National 100 to compete in the Super Late Model, Limited Late Model, and 604 Late Model divisions.
With time trials and heat races slated for Saturday, Horton topped the charts in 604 qualifying and landed fourth-fastest in his Limited. In HTFSDS action, Austin qualified 10th-fastest in his group and finished one spot out of a transfer in fifth.
For Saturday's main events, Austin landed a pair of third-place outings in his 604 and Limited Late Models to record a podium finishes. Transferring to the $49,000-to-win National 100 from his B-Main, Horton charged forward and completed all 100 laps to finish just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
